Back in Pompey – but the final farewell is approaching quickly…

Heya guys!

I finally decided to switch this to English, so I hope you are ok with this. The reason for this is that I want to keep everybody updated, especially with my travelling plans ahead, and I guess that more people are able to understand English than German. Oh, and by the way, feel free to leave some comments if you want to, I’d appreciate some feedback. So that’s that.

I arrived back in Portsmouth about two weeks ago, after spending four days at Jannis’ place in Lübeck. Jannis joined me for his summer vacation and only left this afternoon. I showed him around the city a bit, the usual places like the historic dockyard, the seafront, the city centre, the university and we also went for two day trips to the Isle of Wight and Salisbury. Otherwise, we just enjoyed talking for hours, catching up, and mostly just relaxed, watching films etc. We had a splendid time together, it was really good to see my oldest and best friend again, after we had somewhat lost touch in the last couple of years.

Urlaub in Deutschland!

So, da bin ich mal wieder, nach doch etwas längerer Zeit…

Nach einer recht anstrengenden, aber dafür produktiven Zeit in der Library der Uni in Portsmouth bin ich Ende Juli dann wieder mal in die Heimat geflogen. Die ersten fünf Tage bin ich dabei noch von Richard begleitet worden, und wir sind zunächst nach Warburg gefahren. Dort haben wir zwei Tage mit der Familie und in der Umgebung verbracht, hach ja, irgendwie ist das Warburger Land ja schon eine schöne Gegend, ich kann durchaus verstehen, dass sich meine Mutter dort nieder gelassen hat. Aber naja, nach zwei Tagen hat’s dann erstmal wieder gereicht mit der Landluft, und wir haben noch einen Abstecher nach Köln und Bochum gemacht, bevor es für Richard dann wieder heimwärts ging.
